Hello, Friends !
I've been thinking for a long time whether I should upload this video about the last day of McDonald's in Russia, as this famous American fast good giant decided to leave the Russian market, or whether I should not do this, because sharing such simple happy moments of my life with my Russian family during the Russia Ukraine crisis can be inappropriate... But at least I know that you, my audience, are kind and understanding. I am documentaring the history, just like all of us, Russians on Youtube. We all here are just Russian civillians, who need to keep on living.
In this short video (YouTube shorts #shorts) you will see our last visit to McDonald's in my Russian Town, because McDonald's is leaving Russia now. On the 13th of March McDonald's closed all the restaurants in Russia because of the current situation here and the crisis between Russia and Ukraine.
We had the Last meal at McDonald's and ate our Last McDonald's cheeseburger.
But as for me, I haven't lost anything important. Here in my hometown the first McDonald's reastaurant appeared only in 2007,I have leaved the bigger part of my life without it. I only feel sorry for all the Russian people who lost their jobs.

I have some mixed feelings on this. I did notice whenever I have been over there the burgers taste better due to the higher quality of meat in Europe. I commend for the time being McD's paying their wages for the next 6 weeks, but after that, jobs are going to be hard to find for younger people.

Ok, we can discuss on the healthy stuff, but from time to time a burger is not a bad thing and anywhere on the world you exactly know what you will get, more or less ...

Thanks for sharing, I think it is an historic event and well worth to show. Let's hope though that this was a temporary event and they reopen soon again ...

McDonald's and Coca Cola are pretty much the worst aspects of the western lifestyle. I'm in a love/hate relationship with McDonald's. As a child growing up in West Germany we always had to go to McDonald's when shopping in a bigger city. As an adult I got bored by their food a little bit but from time to time I can't resist. It's bloody unhealthy but it's difficult to completely stay away from it.

It's almost a side show in a way as banks and food chains are closing down in the States too. Now Walmart has a limit on what can be purchased.

The weird thing is that they announced the closure of MC Donald's in my city (Yekaterinburg), we had the last meal a weak ago, but it's still working, and there're no signs of closure😀

We fee your pain. The economic consequences of this invasion are global. You lost McDonald's and the jobs it provided. We in tiny Ecuador lost a market for 50% of our banana export. Many banana worker's jobs are in jeopardy.

I would say this is a good thing for Russia, McDonald's food is terrible! Very unhealthy. Same with Starbucks. You are well rid of them, I wish we could get rid of them in the US.

It is sad for the russian who work in the Mcdonals because they will lose their jobs but after all that junk food will leave your country. I dont eat it since 2013 and I have felt super healthy hehelol. Actually I dont drink cola or soda, sugar or fried food or transfat because I have fatty liver. Only fried potatoes made at home because you know what kind of oil you use and once only but very seldom I eat it. About the war, I think it will not last more than one week more, already Zelesnki accepted Ucraine will not join Nato and Nato already refussed them. Peace agreement will be done soon. If everything goes well, I would travel to Russia next June to spend around 3 months of Russian summer, I am going to give my contribution to the russian economy as turist.
