Saving and storing seed potatoes for planting next year is easy. I've been doing this for several years and it's a great way to get a jump start on your next season. If you're growing a fall crop of potatoes, the same method applies.

I ve just harvested lovely charlottes, from march planting.
Uk, wales.
They are perfect, of course.
Really beautiful.
How do i store them, even though they have not grown any bits?
Do i store them in a normal way first [ bags]as if they were going to be eaten,
or what else should i do to ‘’ chip ‘’ them ahead….?
I am hoping you can help😊

Will give this a try from my fall potato harvest, if I get one that is. Gotta work on my potato growing game.

You’re in Austin right? What temperature is your shed at? I feel like ours stays pretty warm even in the winter, not sure if too warm for potatoes.

So you can do that even if they are sprouting? I had mine in a dark place but they sprouted.

Can you replant a potato after you harvest it in the same bed if you redo fertilizer

Store them whole and then do you pull out and cut them up for planting in spring?

I just bought a bunch of small local potatoes to grow in my garden and won’t be planting them for about a month. Should I still store them this way?
