What if the largest land Empire ever never existed? What if the Mongol Empire Never Existed? What if the Mongol armies didn't invade China, Iran, the Middle East, Russia and even Poland? How would the world change from this lack of world changing events? Not surprisingly, a lot.

You forgot to mention the outcome of the Islamic empire. The Islamic golden age ended when the Mongols destroyed Baghdad and this greatly weakened the Arabs.

I dare say that it may have taken longer for gun power to have become a major player in wars.  Though it most likely would have still found it's way into war.  This could have change the power the Spanish had in the new world, or the Turks using it to storm through the walls of Constantinople.

What if Alexander the Great expanded westward rather than eastward?

Not even a mention of Baghdad? At that time Baghdad was the biggest city on the planet with the biggest population, before the Mongol invasion it was the center of the Islamic Golden Age. The House of Wisdom and a number of libraries had been making huge scientific advancements. When the Mongols invaded Baghdad they burned all the books, to the degree that the Tigris river turned dark blue due to the ink from the books. I think that if Baghdad did not fall, the knowledge would have spread to the world, and we'd be much more scientifically advanced.

Without the Mongol Empire, gunpowder which was first invented in China would not have travelled to Europe via the Middle East and the British, French, Portuguese and Spanish Empires would never have existed.

I think the East would be a hell of a lot more powerful and the West would be technologically behind with the great powers lying in the East, the American people would have been mostly descendants of Asia rather than Europe or they may have traded with the native Americans and the Native Americans may have come into power.

1000s of books would not have been burned. The renaissance was a reawakening of knowledge and much of the knowledge came from digging up greek / arab / persian works of the past. if 1000s of books and 100s of libraries were not burned and millions of people did not die, the world would probably be more advanced right now. Baghdad was a center of science and education. large # of cities in Persia, central Asia, and the Arab world and China were burned.

To put this into perspective, imagine that the a force like the mongols put Constantinople to the sword, burned everything and murdered everyone. A few decades before that they had already burned Paris, Rouen, Vienna, several Italian city states like Venice, Florence, Milan, and had reduced the holy roman empire to a small area.

Renaissance and Enlightenment you say as it happened in our timeline? forget about it.

You forgot maybe the most important consequence of the re-opening of the silk road: trade with China and India pushed european explorers and merchants to seek new trade roads, especially by sea. This lead to Vasco de Gama travel, and probably to Columbus's too... Why start to sail west if not to search for a way to India? So, as some researcher suggest, the absence of the mongols would probably have pushed America's discovery some cerntury later, with further enormous consequences...

The Mongols didn't destroy the Qin dynasty.... The Mongols destroyed the Song dynasty. The Qin and the Song are a thousand years apart...

What's more interesting is, what If Ogadei Khan or Mengke Khan didn't die that soon, and the Mongols swiped out the entire Europe?

I believe that China and the Middle East would be vastly more proeminent historicaly. By the middle ages, these civilizations were far more advanced than the europeans in tecnology. So, if the mongols did not wipe them, we may no have seen the european empires after the middle ages. Maybe we would have chinese colonies in america or australia, maybe the turks could bring their empire further in to Africa or in to Europe

i believe that gunpowder would've spreaded to europe much later on because gunpowder would've never been traded along the silk road to europe

The middle east and Asia in general could perhaps have taken the place that Europe took as the leading culture/continent.

Technologically and economically, the Asian empires were stronger during the 1200s and would probably have stayed so if it weren't for the devastation brought about by the Mongols.

Mongols destroyed the Seljuk Sultanate(Sultanate of Rum) and lots of new feudal lordships appeared in Anatolia(Turkey). One of them was Osmanoğulları which was going to be Ottomans later. So If Mongol Invasion never happened Seljuks might still be functioning today and Ottomans would not appear in the history. And I guess it'd be much better.Greetings from Turkey.

If the Mongol Empire never existed and never invade China. China's development would have never been but into a stand still and set back. China at that time was powerful and advance. In other words China would have hit the Industrial Revolution first.

Watching this in 2017 is so trippy because I can think of at least two of his more recent videos that can cross-reference back to this scenario.
