The Omnis Duo is an all-in-one, battery-powered rekordbox standalone device, which includes unique new features. If you're confused about why it doesn't say Pioneer DJ on it, well, there's a new player in the DJ equipment game -- Alpha Theta -- and this is their first product. On this episode of #BeatsourceTech, Mojaxx gives it a full review and explains what's going on with the branding.

I think you’re being very kind on your review of this Omnis Chaos.
It’s ridiculously high priced and I’ve never seen a review where you had to state so many times that a lot of things are missing or hopefully coming in the future.

A lot of very safe reviews of this with minimal criticism despite its many shortcomings.

A prime GO competitor with no streaming about 4 years too late and nearly double the price.

I mean the GO is still ahead of this but hoping they announce the Go 2! It will surely wipe the floor with this!

You can tell nobody wants to ruffle any feathers and potentially lose the ability to get product sent to them. I've watched the reviews from CT and Crossfader and they both seem overly positive.

We need to stop normalizing OUTRAGEOUS prices for, essentially the same controller as every other one. 99% of the controls are the same. The screen UI is different, but the code behind it is the same. We have to take a stand against this crap.
That's a $500 controller! Tops! There's very little R&D required when you just change the plastic.
This isn't on you, Mojaxx. People do listen to your opinion, though. I'd love to see an episode on the price of controllers, and why you do or don't agree with the amount.

Considering that the prime go will start to show it's age soon, Pioneer had a golden opportunity to release a competitive product, and I think they wasted it.

For 1500 dollars, you could get a mixstream pro, a pair of monitors and headphones and pretty much do the same, if not more (streaming). The only thing I'm happy to see here is Bluetooth, but not enough to justify the price tag.

$1, 500 ???!!! Seriously?! I can't wait for the comparison videos between this "innovative" controller and the DENON DJ PRIME GO. 🤣🤣🤣

I’m on the lookout for a small, portable board, but I just can’t justify this over the prime go - no way

If this was priced the same as the Denon Go, they could have had a winner. Unfortunately with their current pricing strategy, they are pretty much becoming the Teenage Engineering of the DJ world, and are catering for people with more money than sense! 🤣🤣🤣

$1500 LOL.
I was looking at this during your pre amble and thinking i wonder what price, gonna be way more than the Numark Go cause Pioneer but it looks way more cheaply made than the Prime Go but with the added "Pioneer Tax" i be it rocks in at the same price about $1000.

Imitation is the greatest form of flattery... once again, Denons innovation is making the 'club standard' developer "cough cough" innovate too... Pity this will probably disappear when the monopoly arrives... just like a government without an opposition, the only people who will benefit won't be the general public... and we will pay more for less. The irony is that the industry and those that purport to care about it are the ones who are letting this happen. I know I sound like a stuck record...pun intended lol and very cynical, and I think rightly so... but if I end being wrong, I'll happily eat an entire bakery of humble pie.

Still, nice to see some new tech and choice for the community. There are some cool features on here, but price vs the go? Thanks for keeping us up to date..

I’ll be brutally honest. The indigo blue is a nice touch just don’t understand why the platters are just so plain looking. Love the idea but hate the design.

As a fan of modular kit where I can use different mixers and use whatever fits the day connected, I really need an update to my XDJ-700's. They are the oldest gear with touch enabled features in the whole lineup of players. It came out just after the first XDJ-1000. Even if the all-in-one's have taken over a lot, small modular players are outstanding in value. Not only are they extremely light weight and can be used in any combo of gear, but in case there's a mixer in place, or I want to extend the existing 2 player setup to a 4 player setup, I only need to bring the players which fits in a backpack and weighs in around 3 kg's. Obviously as seen on the Omnis Duo, , they can pack a lot of the new features in to that 7 inch screen. I bet they could fit an 8'' high res screen within the same frame as the old 7''. On a single player, that would be quite enogh even for my old eyes. I have the Mixstrem pro, and the 7'' is a tad bit too small for all the info needed, which means some stuff have very small fonts, and I have to use my hated reading glasses to comfortable see what's in front of me. Never need that with single screens.

Cool w new stuff, and great review as usual. But I´m more interested in an update of XDJ-700 or XDJ-1000mkII.

I like your explanation of the whole pioneer alpha thing. 2 channels would be fine if you could also layer accapellas and loops within each deck. Why isn’t such a simple thing possible? It Would make this and the RX3 so much more attractive too. I think most people rarely need more than 2 decks but just want the added creative flexibility that this would provide.

Great review as always. I’ve got one a few weeks back it’s not cheap but I went for this one because I’m using a lot of Pioneer gear already. It’s been a lot fun so far and I’ve taken it out to a few parks in London. I’d love to see streaming on this device to.

Possibly the worst looking controller I've ever seen. Looks like a toy for a 2 year old.
