I'm so used to tuning to 440, that the 432 sounded out of tune and horible.

Been playing at 440 for decades and always struggled with singing... until i sent 432 and much easier. big difference for me myself and I.

Tune to 136.1 Hz. That's Om, you'll resonate with the universe!

One of the best tests is to take a tone generator and listen to A at 440 vs 432. The A tone at 432 sounds softer and a bit wider. The A at 440 sounds tighter and harsher. Don't base it on spiritual stuff, base it on what the sound physically feels and sounds like

I thought the "440" tuning sounded better for some of those compositions, and the "432" tuning sounded better for others. It just goes to show that there is very clearly no correct way to play music.

I've always tuned my guitars at 432hz just because I was inspired to start playing by Dimebag and that's what he used so I did the same and stuck with it

Definitely the best examination of this subject I have so far seen. Having pitch shifted a few of my favourite songs down to A=432Hz a while ago, to see how they sound compared with the original tuning, I must admit I do prefer some of them at the altered frequencies. However, this is because the slightly lower pitch can make the music sound less harsh on the ear and have a nicer tonality. Or, as you mentioned, perhaps there is just a placebo effect.

I didn't believe in this either until I started weeping tears of unbounded joy when my friend tuned the keyboard in 432hertz during a violent but wonderful mushroom trip :s

Anyone who has ever hand tuned an acoustic guitar without a tuner knows its all about relative pitch, not frequency.

I absolutely LOVED example 2. I can really dig the woodsy/homey feel to it. Cheers mate!

Funny that Adam Neely just uploaded a video with a similar topic.
Really like what you're doing, keep it up

Try going outside on a nice spring day and tune your guitar to the birds singing. I've done this about three or four times and always end up in the same range of frequencies. It has never come out in the range that would sync up with 440 but always falls in alignment, or in tune with 432. I've also done this with recorded whale sounds with the same result. I'm not totally sure what this means, but it's interesting.

Love how different the purpose of your videos are most of the time, it's what makes it unique and appealing to me.

I always felt that tuning down slightly from 440 gives the music a warmer tone. I almost never tune my guitar at 440 unless I want to learn a song that was recorded at 440.

not trying to hop on the 'conspiracies' but to me.. going from 440 to 432 feels natural, but going from 432 to 440 sounds weird and off.. looks like 432 it is.
