What sample rate do you use?👀

I always like to master at 44.1 - 24 bit 👈🏻

But a lot of people prefer 48 🤷🏻‍♂️

Which one do you prefer?

Let me know 👇🏻

I record and mix at 96k and master at 48k 24bit

48k, because of video. I like to have files that could be imported into an editing system (should I need to) without another step of automatic sample rate conversion by an app (Premiere, Final Cut, etc.), that’s not me doing it deliberately with control in my DAW.

It depends what my client sends their stems as. But for my personal music productions, I started using 48 so when my music is used in film, it’s already good to go🙂👍

48k, I think it's just a good quality optimisation, no need for going higher unless it's for audiophile recordings, but I wouldn't want to go lower than 48k

48kHz 24bit. But i also did a whole song in 96kHz 32bit(float) and there's definitely a huge difference.

Laptop 44.1k, my home computer 48k. The laptop doesnt handle 48k very well. I cant hear a difference either way but plugins CAN so I use 48k when possible.

I use 48 mostly, but that’s only because I’m usually recording audio for live streams. I will use 44.1 when I’m recording music in my home studio.

All I know is that I've noticed a difference when uploading to SoundCloud. Better results with 48 because if you upload to 44.1 SoundCloud will upsample it

1st gen, pro audio masters were all 16 bit, 44.1 khz back in the 80s, they still sound great too (Eg, Brothers in arms by Dire Straits).

Streaky, have you got a explanation on the difference, pluses and Minus.

96/64. Discernible improvement in the high end, and seems to step down to 44/16 better than 48/X does …

Audio & Video nowadays go hand in hand, 48khz to avoid Drift in sync.

higher clarity for drum sample vsts, adds to the feel and the details important at least on my prism on headphones, small parts add up i guess

44.1 kHz 16 bit. Classic CD approach.😊

Well, depends. If it's just for streaming, 44.1 does it. Usually video asks for 48. So... Whatever suits the job.

If you're Producing Audio content only 44.1 is fine because this is a usual sampling Frequency derived from cd da Standard.

48 on the other hand is very useful when we produce Audio together with video because with 50 or 60 frames you can cut video and audio frame precise.

In theory both should make no difference in listening experience.

44.100 for rounding off when exporting the final product, but nowadays there is software around that can do a better job with several other sample rate formats no?

I use 48 but i also use my DAC which amplifies it to over 900k. Now I am wondering if that's even a good idea. The consumer doesn't listen to such a high rate. Do you have any tips on that?
