This short video is very informative, straight to the point. Excellent job.

It is also important to note, if you use samples in your production, you are always better off using 44.1 khz, since almost all samplepacks are in 44.1 khz. If you use 44.1 samples in your production and export the final in 48 khz it will damage the overall quality, becasue of the conversion. Converting down the samplerate always sounds better than converting up (that is, if you don't go below 44.1, which obviously sounds worse)

Generally bitrate is more important quality wise when sample rate is 44.1Khz and over. The reason you might and professionals use higher sample rates than 44.1Khz is to keep even the in-audible information in the audio since after processing it might become audible.

Hi folks! I'm getting a little confused here, but am having a hard time even describing my confusion. Any clarification would help! If Hz refers to the number of complete cycles a sound wave goes through in one second, i'm confused why we use Hz to measure sample rate. In his example at 2:09, I get that 1khz of audio must be sampled at least twice... but saying it has a sample rate of 2khz... wouldn't that mean it's sampled once every 2khz??? OHHH wait i may have answered my own question. Does 2khz in this example mean it's measured 2x in 1khz?? So then a sample rate of 4khz would mean it's measured... 4x in one 1khz?? Idk i'm confused 😝 thanks!!

To my understanding of this video, sample rate is how fast you sample the sound. So if we sample the same audio with different sample rates, it will turn out to have different length and speed, but WHY does the song shown in the video with each different sample rate played at the same speed? Someone please tell me!😫

Hi,
Can I record at 16 bit / 44.1 kHz and then export a wave to 24 bit / 48 kHz. (for a video music cover)
I am a rookie, completely new to this audio recording, editing & mixing in cubase le 10
