Caramel Apple FAIL!!

i made these for my wedding! i had the same issue getting the caramel to stick to the apples. i found that using a firm apple is best such as pink ladys. i also found that if you dip them into melted chocolate first and let that set the caramel has something to hold onto! hope this helps for next time!!

since the mini apples didn't have the outer skin, the moisture of the apples made it hard for the caramel to stick on causing it to drip off? It still looks delicious though!
