Dad Makes Caramel Apples...Eventually | How bad did Dad fail?

Since it is fall Dad wanted to make his favorite fall treat, caramel Apples. Dad found a recipe that said it was EASY, and gave it a whirl. It did not go so well, but eventually, Dad got a semi-usable caramel apple.

When I was Ellie’s age, we had neighbor that made the kids in the neighborhood the red candy apples for Halloween. It was one of my favorite treats. I don’t remember what kind of apples she used. Carmel and caramel gets used equally off my tongue. I was probably an adult when I had Carmel apples. No nuts please!

Oh dear, you have to wash the wax coating off the apple. A quick hot water bath would help. Skewer and dry apples very well. Don't use freezer, condensation will occur. Caramel should leave a clean swipe when using the back of a spoon. The temp will vary at times. Use chocolate to adhere the Pb cup to the apple. You can do it! Just keep practicing and research. Oh and it's carmel where I am.

You can say that you tried. You know what to do for next time and maybe try to make another caramel to make caramel apples

I think you may need to refrigerate that caramel to firm it up or something. 🤔
