Unboxing Sony SS-CS5 - Totally worth it!!

Trying out the Sony SSCS5. Set of bookshelf speakers that truly live up to the name. Great for home-theater or turntables... you just need a very good amp or an avr to power them ;)

The 3-driver bookshelf speakers include a rigid 5.12 in MRC woofer for dynamic bass, along with a 0.98 in tweeter and 0.75 in super-tweeter.

Mica Reinforced Cellular (MRC) fiber woofers are rigid, holding their shape even when moving at high pressure and speed.

The Sony has got to be the one of the greatest hifi speakers (for the money) I ever heard. I hear details and dynamics that my ProAc 2.5's do. Absolutely qualifies as HiEnd.

Thanks for your comments. I liked you were able to NOT recommend them for computer use. I was 1 minute away from pulling the trigger. Lots of review praising them, but none were able to tell the truth about their practical use. Liked and subscribed.

I'm using that exact system for my desktop system and it sounds great. Those Sony's for the $75 i paid are amazing

Nice review, I also love the Fosi audio. For me it was like a jump try, got the Fosi tube P1 preamplifier connected to my power amp ADCOM GFA 555mk2 and it works very well.

Great vid🙏🥂🙏🥂! After watching many reviews before last last Christmas Christmas 2020... I decided to get me four CS-5s and two of the Sony subwoofers... Running them from my Sony receiver that was around 169... And I have a awesome audio files budget dream system now... Sounds great if I watch a movie and sounds great when I'm listening to tons of I got one set at $73 for both speakers which was a killer Black Friday deal of sorts

Hi, a few days ago, I found out my 10 year old 2.1 speakers with only 4" bass inside the box has better bass than my new system which has 5" bass when the volume is low (for pc when I'm only half a meter away from the speaker). so does that mean small bass could deliver better bass than the big one when the volume is low? or it's due to the shape of my old bass which is a speaker inside the wooden box?

Anyway, I thought I ask you my 2nd question which is related to Sony SS-CS5 vs Micca, since Sony is bigger, can you compare both when the volume is low (accessible listen level when you are half meter away like on PC set near) and if Sony gives better bass even when the volume is low?

I wonder if the theory in my head is correct, which is big speakers only shine when the volume is high, so big speakers give a worse bass for PC users who set close to the speaker?

I was thinking I would need some fancy RCA cables with banana plugs, but I see you just cut some speaker wires, and hooked them up...but what other cables did you use?

I hear a lot of men say that need wife approval. My ex tormented me about my stereo. Now my Girlfriend treats me like an equal partner and doesn't torment me about my Infinity IL50s floor standing speakers 70lbs each matching bookshelf and center channel and my rack of gear. the new GR research mod kit basically makes the tweeter the mid range and the super tweeter the tweeter ! so YES addresses your concern! it sounds INCREDIBLE it now matches or surpasses $1, 000 speakers! MUCHO better low, mid, upper !

The human ear can't hear anything over 20, 000 Hz - if you're older or been in the audiophile arena for a while, you're lucky to hear over 16, 000 Hz - that " super tweeter " is a gimmick.
