Okay, David and Darlene not being together after so many years does not surprise me, but David turning out to be a dead beat dad surprises me. I get that they had to come up with a reason for him not to be on the show all the time because he has another show to do, but making him a dead beat is such a slap in the face to the character from the original show.

There has to be some sort of believable explanation as to why David left his family. I think everyone who watched the old series agrees that this doesn’t seem like something David would do. I think the theory that it has something to do with the effects of Mark’s death sounds reasonable. Roseanne has said that the opioid crisis will be a topic this season, so maybe David is connected to that? He looks pretty disheveled in this clip. Also, is Blue a younger woman or the name of his new dog? LOL. I think David & Darlene will find their way back. to each other. They always did before. 😀❤️
