This is awful. Sara Gilbert cannot be the creative force driving a show about working class people because she has never been working class. That is why this show feels artificial and wrong without Roseanne. Every scene of “The Conners” is just a bunch of flailing and kvetching about how awful it is to be working class and Darlene moaning about ‘oh we are so poor’. The original show certainly had those moments but Roseanne knew that there was more to being below middle class than just struggle and poverty. That’s why the original show was awesome and The Conners is not.

What the producers of this show clearly do not understand is that what made Roseanne special was the fact it wasnt a traditional sitcom. This could be any other sitcom

I always loved Crystal more than Nancy. I liked Nancy but Crystal was orginal to the show. She was there in those first raw and simple years. Roseanne & Jackie's childhood friend. I felt like they just traded her off & I missed that character so much in the latter years. Great to see Crystal back!
