I have to say that the street portraits that you posted at f/1.4 really impressed me. I shoot with the 18mm f/2 on the street but usually stopped down for zone focusing. The subject separation in your shots looks terrific and could make me consider the value of this new lens.

BTW... I have been calling my X-E2s and 18mm f/2 combo my "poor man's Leica Q", but in terms of quality, it's not really close.

Thank you for the video about the lens no one really talks about. It seems fun and the you have described some cool scenarios to use this lens.

On Sunday I had a lot of fun with 23 f2.0 . It was a sunny day and I shot at f5.6, and I could still keep low iso on s.s. 1/2000. Even when in low light, this lens works fine with iso 800 even if you keep f 2.8 and s.s. 1/125. I personally don't want a wider lens. The size of it is the most appealing part, I would not trade it for the wider aperture.

Im thinking on buying the xf18mm 1.4 lens for making vertical videos like social media reels I have the xf 33mm 1.4 and I feel its so tight for that.
