The Snapdragon Digital Chassis is Qualcomm’s comprehensive set of cloud-connected automotive platforms for connected cars. It includes Snapdragon Ride for developing advanced driver-assistance system (ADAS) features and the Snapdragon Cockpit Platform for bringing connected and intelligent user experiences to connected cars.

Qualcomm Senior Vice President Enrico Salvatori discusses Snapdragon Ride, ADAS, and scaling to autonomous driving in his conversation with automotive analyst Benedict Evan for the ninth episode of “The Connected Car” series.

Autonomous driving will not happen overnight. Adoption of a technology development this momentous will require a transition period. That’s why Qualcomm continues to work with global automakers and Tier 1 suppliers on the digital transformation of automotive. And we’re seeing momentum increase for our technology, including the Snapdragon Ride platform.

The Snapdragon Ride platform is one of the most scalable, capable and customizable ADAS/AD solutions available today. This platform includes the Snapdragon Ride Vision System, which features a scalable and modular computer vision software stack built on an industry-leading 4-nanometer processing node. This along with the Ride SDK toolset allows automakers and Tier 1 suppliers to develop powerful and efficient designs, like specific drive policies to meet their specific requirements.

The Snapdragon Ride platforms are scalable, low-power high-performance platforms that allow for scaling all tiers of the ADAS systems.
