Honda EU2200i Generator - Real Life Review

We recently wrapped up a 4 month road trip where we visited 20+ National Parks, 15+ states and drove over 15,000 miles. For several of those months we relied on our Honda EU2200i generator and it did an amazing job for us. Featuring 2200 watts surge (1800 running watts), the EU2200i provides super quiet operation. With a .95 gallon fuel capacity, this small but powerful generator can run 3.2 hours on a full load and 8.1 hours at 1/4 load (it ran over 9 hours on a regular basis with us). While the price may be a little higher than other generators that provide the same amount of power, the quality and reliability of the Honda make it the best generator on the market in our opinion!

Looking for a locking cover for your Honda EU2200i generator - here's a video review by another YouTube channel with some really good information:

You could buy an extended run fuel cap and connect to a 6.5 gallon boat tank and run it over night for a few days with no issues.

Just purchased this generator, last night with a full tank it ran out of fuel after 3 hours. I had it plugged into my Toyota coaster and that runs the 12v/240v fridge (Dometic) and I turned on a fan heater. How do I get better fuel consumption? Thanks in advance

I just bought one yesterday but yiu mentioned they are not water proof? Then how can this be used as you certainly can’t run this inside obviously

Any thoughts on this? I’d not want rain or snow to get on this if it can ruin it

Great review, in your time owning have you had an issues with the CO detector? I was Leary the wind could shift and the exhaust could trip the CO detector.

Nice review, there are cheaper options out there but Honda is pretty dead reliable. Are you still using this generator now? If so, how's it holding up? Thanks again.

My comment and suggestion is less talk and more actual footage of the product.😅

I have 2 older non blue tooth Honda's 1000 and 2200 and converted to tri fuel. And now just purchased this new 2200i blue tooth with CO Minder. The disadvantage since it's blue tooth. I bet government knows everything like our cell phones, hours, usage watts everything and could shut it down in a martial law or emergency. But not my older non blue tooth Honda generators!!! I rember a few years ago on my home they put the smart electrical meter on my home didn't ask just did it. They knew everything appliances used and could shut electrical down if they feel it's a emergency. But not anymore I moved off grid in December 2019 before plandemic hooray I'm more free!!! Can't cut my power off I use less and plenty of propane to run generator, make heat, heat water and have even ran car on. I've have plenty of propane saved. That's my so called climate change going green for government and more green in my pocket!!! If Government really cared we would have went to Vapor fuels like propane, natural gas, gasification, hydrogen and more back decades ago. Back in the 1990s when propane kits were more plentiful for every vehicle. Now today propane kits for about 99% of the vehicles are gone. Once we're all paying a climate change tax to politicians - government climate change will go away for a while. It wouldn't shock me if they charge us for how much air we're using! 😂
