League of Legends/Riot Client Not Booting Fix for Mac [Works 2024]

TLDR; Search and delete Riot Client, Re-Download League of Legends installer, Let it install (it will only patch the Riot Client), Launch League & Voila! Works for Mac Intel, Mac Apple M1 & M2

This video shows how to fix the issue of League of Legends not opening on MacOS. The culprit of this problem seems to actually be the Riot Client, which keeps crashing. Unfortunately this is for Macs only, and I do not have a fix for Windows.

Tested on Big Sur, tested and works for other previous versions of MacOS as well; pseudo-tested on Monterey and works fine, may or may not work for future versions)

The full video shows an even shorter way to fix the issue than the TLDR in this description but it does not always work, which is why the TLDR is for the long way which almost always works.

nice approach, it works fine for me.
Before know this approach, I logged out and logged into my mac user. Sometimes it is needed to restart the macos.
But now, I just need to move riot games to the trash and open league of legends app. Thanks for share this solution.

Im trying to find riot client after downloading it from the league of legends installer, and I cant find it anywhere, but its weid because I can see the icon on the top and setting saying "It can run on the background" I cant even find the application on my mac anywhere and on activity monitor it says "Not responding" How do I fix this?

Thanks, in my case was not even crashing, everytime i wanted to play lol, i needed to open the carpet LEAGUE CLIENT directly from lol/show package content, which it worked for me for almost a year but now it stopped working lol, I tried your method adapting it to my situation and it worked:) thanks!
