That last line. Throws you off into a different viewpoint from "Oh, just another song about a girl" to "Oh, it's a song about his daughter who doesn't know ho he is..." and then you get that feeling like you got hit by a coal train because thats just how hard the meaning is.

This song reminds me of something really cool in my life. I've always been a waitress and I'm kinda a bitch.. it happens with people service. This guy came in, and I knew he was having a hard time, depressive of some sort. So I gave him a coloring page and crayons, and paid for his coffee, we all have bad days. He wrote me a letter telling me he was about to shoot himself in the parking lot.. and that my act of kindness and care for his state of mind saved him.. it was insane. I had no idea until I read his note. His ex was keeping his daughter from him and he was fed up with it. I hope he's going well now.. crazy how even satirical kindness can help a broken soul. Smile at people. Give them the hope they might need to carry on. You just never know.
