The reason for this book being banned was absolutely ludicrous. How likely would it actually be that kids would read this book and go jump on their father? My mom read this book to me when I was a little girl and I didn't immediately go jump on my dad and I doubt any other kid did either.

This echoes Judy Blume's past commentary, "At this rate the headlines will be 'Goodnight Moon banned for encouraging kids to talk to furniture'" which feels more applicable than ever in this crazy, day and age.

Pop just wants to blame someone for not knowing how to raise his kids.
