The reason this happened is probably because the phosphorus on the match is either already oxidized, or the heat did not spread to the rest of phosphorus as fast as normal :)

The reason it happens is cuz you can re Kendall a like a candle if there's smoke if you can put fire to it so I guess the woods or the the match it's heated enough to where it's like almost the heat of the fire so when it mixes with the gas or the steam it re lights
