Dont let the Karloff name fool u. He's actually a refined reveared English gentleman. With those gorgeous large deep set eyes and eyebrows very expressively play a scary man. Hes brilliant. Considering how old this film was made, it was masterfully executed. Impressive and held my interest til the end.

I watch anything with Mr. Karloff in it. Thank you for the post CCC.

The end was unfortunately marred by the pop-ups covering the actor delivering a quite good speech. That's youtube for you ...

A well-crafted flick, with some nice aerial photography thrown in. They don't make 'em like this anymore.

For being an 80 year old movie, it was actually very good. 👍

Finally a decent resolution of this movie. Unless I can actually see the actor's lips moving while they speak, I'll pass on the film. Factually I've passed on this film several different times... until tonight. Thanks for the upload. I enjoyed it.

Really enjoy his Mr Wong detective movies. IMHO right up there with Charlie Chan. Constantly hunt for those old B/W mystery movies.

Love the Vulcan Nerve Pinch at about 47:36, just 26 years before Leonard Nimoy introduced it in Star Trek! Well played. I wonder if he ever saw this film.

Will the real enemy spy please stand up. All's well that ends well. Good story. Too bad we're still trying to get that peace thing to take hold.

I figured they were both double agents but I couldn't determine whether they were DOUBLE double agents. Kept my interest.

i knew british intelligence was an oxymoron. not even 5 minutes in and they are discussing secret plans with the window wide open and the gardener right outside. im done.

Boris Karloff was amazing with his fake limp.

A rare appearance for Karloff at Warners; on loan from Universal. The end speech was the best they could do and maintain 'neutrality' on the eve of WW II in the US. The politics of that era were toxic, and all the "America First" and other such tropes disappeared the day after Pearl Harbor, while the war raged across Europe and Britain was alone.
