Great video Jimmy - love pranayama standing deep breathing, brings, focus to the mind, connection to breath and movement together, and sets the energy and the tone for the class (and if none of that is happening you can trust that pranayama at least keeps you present and some of the busyness of the mind can quieten). will you be doing video on kapablathi breathing at end of class? with analogy of « blowing bd candles,  » students puff their mouths in and out, squirrel cheeks. don’t think that’s correct? mouth open as passageway only?

My understanding of this pranayama is that the hands are clasped as well as possible, and back of knuckles are either pressing under chin on exhale giving a light stretch to the neck at the end, and then the chin is pressing down on the knuckles on the inhale giving a nice little counter stretch as the elbows give their last second of lift to provide that lovely deeper opening of lungs and their surrounding muscles. Am I right? Or is it ok for the hands to leave the chin as your model did or to just be there loosely?

this is definitely a must for all hot yogis. i find that exhaling happens but that inhaling took me a while to get it. and most students don’t know what ihe correct way should feel like with just «  dialogue. » this is excellent with details and not to dis and do dos. thank you, grandmaster Jimmy.

After watching this I realized I am not breathing correctly. Now when I use your method, (beginning with open mouth) I cannot breathe as deeply or as long. Can I improve overtime?
