I had the older model the red one sent it in for repair and they sent back the upgraded model the black one

I was immediately sold by the OBDII memory saver function from SO video 2yrs ago. Shop one is an ancient SO that is all F'ed-up. Sometimes can't even tell if power is on until after installation and finding out clock's time flashing. Then you shout out fxxx you POS, smashing steering wheel, and start finding out radio code. Alao too many times wasting my time trying to find shop's memory saver.

Another major selling point is Li-Ion battery, whereas most on the market is Flooded, which losses capacity if not hooked to wall outlet, which means leaving it outside of your toolbox unsecured and free for all. Unless you have a hutch.
