"a head on is at best a 50% chance of survival"

Head-on ramming, however...

Honestly I wish ARB had the same respawn mechanics as arcade. Flying for 4-5 minutes just to die in the first engagement doesn’t provide much enjoyment or learning opportunities.

The reason I barely play Air is because theres always that one guy who space climbs, dives and pilot snipes me😭. Maybe I'll try it again sometime.

I listened to all your advice and my win ratio went from 24% to 46%, ty

This is all honestly incredible.

What I want to add is on point 3. 4. and 5.
It's to properly decide on your target altitude.
I see a lot of players who either give up on an energy advantage, and hug deck to rush into the fight, and players who try to spaceclimb in a plane they should not.
Not every plane is capable of just outclimbing the enemy Spit and Bf-109, so don't even try. all you will get out of that, is that you don't level out, you're at 250 km/h, and the Bf-109 is only around 1km above you, you are a literal free kill to them, and they will take that.
The other argument is to just sideclimb, but the problem with side climbing is that it takes 3 years, so either your team is already mowed down like the lawn, or the enemy team is removed from the match.

Just choose a suitable target altitude, at least 3 kilometers, where your plane can get up to, and enemies diving on you will have to throw away significant energy to catch you, you can dive down on enemies, in the early part of the game, significantly helping out the part of your team who remained low

You don't need to be higher than literally every single enemy, you need to be reasonable.

one thing that is a basics that a lot of people aren't properly doing is utilizing the keyboard movement control, warthunder assisted movement is deceptively easy to enter into and play around but it also locks away a lot of capabilities that you will eventually found to limit your performance. stuff like the ability to look around while maneuvering, fine adjustment of your gun, tighter turns, and smooth maneuvers are all facilitated with the movement input of your keyboard.

you know one of the tricks that I've learnt over the years of playing air RB was to approach at high altitude over an enemy fighter and essentially cut my engine all the way down to 0% throttle, and essentially glide silently in and at the last moment throttle your engine all the way up and by the time they hear you or see you it's too late, and also it might be a good idea to keep the sun behind you.

350 matches in, and i still havent seen or been able to find anyone making a short and quick video running down a bulletin list of ALL the differences between AAB and ARB.

You will lose 100% of fight against a biplane. They are basically stationary turrets

honestly i love your guide, since it's not just, ,duh just boom and zoom bro" but it is very in-depth. also about tip #8: the best thing is that you can use your plane's weakness to your advantage. the P-51 bleeds energy very fast in a turn, and it makes the flat scissors maneuver even more powerful in my opinion. keep up the great work, love your vids!

Reason I don't play much air is because in ground and naval, the enemy can either move x or y direction, but in air it's suddenly x, y, z and so on which proves insanely difficult to understand what to do in situations.

I just really hate air honestly, I tried time and time again to enjoy it
I gotta be honest, even if I play like I'm supposed to I just end up suffering through until the next plane.
Naval battles were more fun, as was playing bombers

Sim battles is very underrated. I play fighters most of the time, and I bomb like 2 bases total, and I still get like 8.5k rp

Thank you for putting the conversion, I play with mph and miles insted . My longest shots that have landed a kill was at .86 of a mile . But trial by fire is the only way to learn . Get in take off and employ the tactics you pick up along the way . I have been playing ww2 flight sims since Jane’s sims in 1990s . Getting on this game in air rb was like going back in time but now I have tons of players to hunt and tons of planes to learn and fly

Here is some good examples I had today while playing:
One mig player has taken out all 5 of my planes, from my bomber by their base to my other planes when he was kinda base camping, you can tell they are likely good and perhaps a high threat.

Another game I was in between some mountains and took out several enemies but I was severely wounded and with an enemy on my ass. I tried to get closer with my team and someone came in to my saving grace, so I managed to return to the air field, repair, and get another kill or 2 before they brought down that plane.
