it's a big pain for that dog waiting 7 years for his owners return, huge respect who built his statue.

The first one reminds me of a movie about a dog who lost its owner at a train station and waited there for the rest of its life and the second one is like another movie homeward bound

There was another dog, forget the name, but the dog was extremely bonded to his owner. Everyday his owner would leave for work on the train and come back at the same time every night. His dog started to follow him, to and from the train station, waiting for his owner. One day, the owner passed away of a heart attack or something at work and never came back. The dog everyday for the rest of his life would wait at the train station for him. He was the face of the town and eventually died of old age (I think). He was such a legacy that they decided to put a statue of the dog at the train station. It's a movie but I forget the name, if I find it I'll let you know

Edit: Found the movie! It's called Hachiko: A Dog's Tale. Thanks to the ppl in the replies who found it!

What about the dog Hachiko? The Japanese man's dog where the dog went to the train station with him and and waited for the dog's owner to arrive from the college/university, every day until unfortunately the Japanese man had a heart problem on location at the college/university and passed away without his loyal dog's knowledge. And the dog came to the train station every day even after his immediate family told the man's dog he has passed away until the dog's death. And the government decided to erect a statue at the train station. There's a Hollywood movie on this story.

I've heards several stories of dogs not wanting to leave the place of where they last see thier owners now. The most popular one is Hachiko of course. We have dogs most of my life. My parents got our first dog when I was 2 and she live with me until I was 15. And that dog never forget her previous owner until the day she died. Her previous owner often visit her even if she was old and blind but when she heard them she always wag her tail with excitement. I'll never question the loyalty of dogs. I really miss you Kitty! (Yep we named her Kitty).
