The haters are the same douche bags who love a football team when they are winning, but hate them when they are losing.

I've loved Metallica for 30 years, I've loved every one of their albums.

Metallica didn't sell out. they decided to express themselves and create more music that's more based around the sound of Lynyrd Skynyrd and Bob Seger rather than Black Sabbath and Iron Maiden. just because it's Metallica doesn't mean their fastest music is their best, passion is extremely key, and that's where their albums like Load and ReLoad succeed over the first four.

Just my little opinion, .. i think the knew song is great and will be a metallica fan no matter what. Sure, there is some stuff i like more than other, . but people have to understand that each recording happens at different times in their lives, under different circumstances or situations. As great as Master or Justice or Kill em All are, ... those albums only happen once in a lifetime. For a band to be around for 30 years and to still be successful, .. thats an incredible accomplishment that only a handful of bands have done. Metallica, thanks for all the great music!! even if it doesn't please everyone. If i remember right, . when Metallica started, their music didn't please everyone then either, . they played what they wanted. and i think that's what got them here today.

i feel neutral to metallica. I like some of their songs, so i cant say im a true metallica fan. But this whole "hater" thing seems childish. Sort of how some older metal fans bash on young metal fans. Jfc they are newborns to metal... my little brother is barely getting into metal. I dont find the need to bash on him for not knowing this or that about metal, so why bash on other young metal fans? Don't get me started on people who think they're more "metal" than others....

They have done this press bullshit before though, when the squeaky voiced girly one said:"Yeah, we sell out. Every concert is sold out".
What he does not get is that it's other people coming to see them nowadays.
A Thrasher would not go watch a band perform trashy songs in a poppy manner.

for me I outgrew them I've moved on to other bands I can't stand James's singing now and yes they sold out it started with the black album.

Fact: If Metallica never had Cliff Burton, they would have sounded just as unheavy in the 80's as they sound today. Cliff was their main source of musical ideas, having been trained in music theory. Once Cliff died, they soon ran out of left-over material of his which you can hear in AJFA. Once they brought Bob Rock on board, they were mostly dry out and ended up relying on quality production of their now more primitive and poppy riffs and lyrics, and it was the quality of the production and marketing combined with the poppy, simple direction they began going in that threw the album up to #1 on the radio. Ever since then, they've become wealthy, sober, and riding on the legacy of Cliff, they have the privilege of being worshiped by the fans even if they release a track of each of them farting into a mic. Thus is the story of Metallica.
