SoCal has paved over some of it's best agricultural lands with suburban sprawl. I saw this myself in the 50's and 60's while growing up in Highland where most of the citrus grows were bulldozed to make way for housing tracts. My dad was raised on a farm so we always had a backyard vegetable garden which was very enjoyable for all of us and I have continued this tradition in my own life.

Our cities need to quell our dependency on flyover states. We need to localize our food supply.

Gold is a great way to preserve wealth, but it’s hard to move around. You do need some kind of alternative and bitcoin fits the bill. I’m not surprised to see that happening.

New tech to grow stuff hear round? Seriously?! My family has grown stuff year round without tech for decades. Growing the same foods year round isn't a new thing, families like mine have done it for generations.
