Today on Game History Secrets we talk about Nintendo games there almost completely different, including Animal Crossing Pocket Camp, Captain Toad's Treasure Tracker, Project Hammer, Splatoon, and Tokyo Mirage Sessions. These games often started out in a different franchise, including Super Mario, Zelda, and even Pokemon.

Sometimes I lie awake at night terrified at the thought Captain Toad could’ve easily eternally been trapped as a side character who appeared in Mario Galaxy and then vanished completely

Nintendo: "Well we worked hard, but this game has fallen short of the quality standards we expect at Nintendo. It's gonna delay it, but we gotta scrap this and start over."

EA: "Well this game is unfinished and clearly low quality. TIME TO PUBLISH!"

What I learned from this Video, Nintendo wants every game to be Mario or Zelda.

I freaked out when he said Aura-Aura was gonna be a Yoshi game b/c that meant I was gonna have to hear him say "YAWSHY" more times.

The way you pronounce Yoshi's name makes me think it's actually short for Yoshua.

I think this kind of stuff is interesting, it's cool seeing how what a game is like now is drastically different from what it started off as.

Those bad guys from the Project H.A.M.M.E.R game look like enemies from Nier Automata.

Guys my uncle works at Nintendo and he gave me a big leak for a new mario game!. The game is called Mario fries an egg. In the game you play as mario and you run a restaurant. Customers will ask for a fried egg with some toppings. There are lots of toppings like pingu shrooms memes and so much more. You then go into a level and you have to collect as many fried eggs and toppings as you can. Once you get the flag pole you will go back to the restaurant and depending on ur score you will get coins!. That's all the info I can give Rn but he also told me it's coming out on September 11th 2019 at 4:20 PM!

You sure won't let Shin Megami Tensei and Fire Emblem fans forget what this game could have been, do you?

I still hope Project Hammer will someday see the light of day. It had a fun premise and looked enjoyable enough. Would be a great title to let Koei or Platinum take the reigns of and finally fully flesh out.
