The petrols while a bit gutless in the mid range are incredibly refined and reliable. They are also quite frugal.

This is a really good review - most helpful I've seen - cheers! I've got a 2011 Kia Ceed 1.6 diesel 113bhp and it's been a very good car, but 152k miles now and not far from London's ULEZ (I also drive on the Continent a lot and starting to get difficult with some cities)... I love a good turbo diesel's lazy torque - straight up a hill without knowing it's there. I also have a 2007 Mini Cooper convertible (the first new ones) and it's 1.6 Tritech petrol is a joy, feeling the torque pick up at 4000 revs and I#m not averse to changing gears. Looking forward to getting a 2016-2017 1.8 SR (love a sunroof) at some point. Thanks again.

Would have been nice to see an increase in power over the previous 1.8 VTEC. 155bhp to get it under 9 seconds 0-62. I'm guessing a bigger intake and less restrictive exhaust would provide around 10bhp extra like it's always done on previous models.

Great review. I'm thinking of getting a pre-facelift 2013 model in auto. The reviews are that the suspension is too soft so maybe the 2014 model onwards is better (£2k more)

Looks a decent car, and although the mid range pull is never going to be the same as a turbo diesel, for most proper drivers its more than acceptable. People are too set in their ways and need to be getting away from diesels. They mainly appeal to a certain kind of aggressive driver who thinks speed limits don't apply to them, as observed daily on the M6. Petrols are smoother and quieter and although Ive owned both petrol and diesel cars, I would never go back to diesel again.

I’m thinking of buying a used 2013 1.8 petrol. Does anyone have any real work mpg figures, mostly using it on the motorway?

Can you turn off these driver assist features?

"Backseat passengers should have little to complain about", unless passengers want to take their head with them. My mom has this latest Civic so I know this from experience.

I must have been one of the unluckiest civic owners bought a 61 plate, beautiful car but took it back after 2 weeks. Was drinkiing oil quicker than petrol. Turns out this model had sub standard piston rings that wear after time was gutted tbh 😢

I bought mine in October 19 and I get something like 28mpg average on most trips, is it my driving style? Some trips I will get 40+ but rarely then I can do the same journey and it is nowhere near.

Hello and nice video! What are the sizes of the alloy wheels? 17 or 18"?

My wife prefers the engine in our 1.0l Citroen C1/Toyota.
I have to agree for 1.8 it's terrible. Should be 1.4

strange, why can't i find this car with this trim? the most important to me is this amazing steering wheel with leather. all i see is cheap rubber steering wheels. any idea, any one?
