As a child of the 50's-60's, my entire family read several papers during breakfast. It strengthened my reading skills and I also remember asking my parents about topics I read. There was discussion. We have lost so much in this country and it's weakening us as a society and as a nation. I fear for us.

Whether digital or print, local news is ESSENTIAL to creating a sense of community, especially in small cities and suburban areas in danger of being swallowed into enormous "metro" areas. Reporters are like watchdogs, always alert for those in government who abuse their power or authority. We need them so desperately.

I watched 60 tonight, the first time in at least 14 years. I wanted to see how you are reporting the news. It’s sad about the smaller (local) newspapers but I believe a lot of the damage is due to not only sensationalizing but dishonest reporting. It is going to take a lot before the people start to believe what is being said. With the media taking sides when they are supposed to be completely bipartisan. It is a real shame considering the state of the entire world right now. The media is supposed to just tell us facts and let us figure out how we view the situation. The media needs to keep their opinions to themselves and if not you deserve to fail.

Exactly what happened in Erie, Pennsylvania. Now charging more than double. Cancelled print subscription in 11/21, still getting billed, call every month and no refund yet. Never get to speak to anyone that speaks English very well, not sure which country I'm calling. Big businesses don't care!

Printed word is important🇺🇸🗽
You record history, communicate and pass information that can not be altered digitally to mislead.

Anything digital is possible, that's why everything goes that way and even money can be manipulated so easy with no one the wiser.
Some for them and them, click goes the mouse; None for you or those and click again, my gosh it was easy not to send.

Who needs a newspaper now? When you have Craigslist for the classifieds and the smart phone for a news release NOW; not when the paper comes out tomorrow.
