Huw Edwards not going to prison

Former BBC presenter Huw Edwards was given a six-month suspended sentence, and will avoid going to prison for accessing indecent images of children.

In July, he admitted to viewing dozens of indecent images of children, one aged between 7 and 9.

Through his lawyer, Edwards apologised for betraying the trust people placed in him, and the BBC said it is "appalled by his crimes".
