GIANT GINGERBREAD MAN - DIY Tutorial

Today we’re making giant gingerbread cookies! Each gingerbread man is a little over 5 1/2 feet tall and is made from insulation foam board. This super simple and fun Christmas DIY project will be the perfect addition to any Christmas setting and is rated for exterior use.

Great video tutorial. I’d like to add, when I did my Easter and Halloween decorations I used paper templates. So when you’re at Lowe’s getting the insulation board, also grab a length of the brown paper roll they have by the exit. Draw your design on the paper, cut it out and trace on as many decorations as you want to make.

These are all very cute. Will have to convince the hubs that it's ok to use insulation board for more than insulation. I would paint a black dot in the center of the "eyes" prior to painting the white to add more interest to the eyes. I love your creative use of ornaments to decorate these. Thanks for sharing. I absolutely love these!!! This is actually my theme for Christmas this year. The only thing I felt needed to be different is the eyes, I really don't care for the sold white. Maybe make black circles or ovals for the pupils of the eyes. I really don't know what but I think they would look better. I'm not trying to put yours down at all, they are great, just the white ones freak me out. I love them. When I tell wedding guests we are the house with the gingerbread men and 2 tall soldiers they will know. And my twin 3 year old grandchildren will love them.

I love this video and your ideas. I question, though, using hot glue to attach rope. I think it should be something stronger for outdoor use.
