The Wilhelt deck is something like 2/3 of the way to the deck I was already workshopping when I saw him previewed. Having it all in a single box really helps.

Im going to be honest, i think the zombie deck might actually be the best out of the box precon they have ever done. I'd give that bad boy an A+, as i believe that deck sets a precedent going forwards. Wilhelt to me is a perfect precon power level

Edit: also, holy crap, planar portal is at $28 now? That deck is immaculate, and so easy to upgrade. Everyone should own that deck, it just works out of the box, and it gets even better with some upgrades, of which kaldheim has alot of them

I just bought a Innistrad: Midnight Hunt precon deck today after a gameshop caught my eye. I haven't played in years but I decided to pick this one up, and went home to go through my old magic cards and strengthen the build as much as I possibly could. As luck would have it, I mostly have forest and plains cards which matches the precon deck I bought, and strengthened the build quite a lot I think. I'm gonna try it out and see how well it works soon.

In the summer of 2019 I was getting back into Magic after leaving in 2005, and friends invited me to an EDH night. Imagine the look on the store owner's face when I asked if they still had a 2018 precon... in July 2019, lol. Today, a new player will find a great selection of Commanders and color combinations at any store. I really love it. Well, two years ago I went into my binder and built a Rubinia Soulsinger Bant deck, which is still my #1 deck today, as a mid-power Bant Pod/Populate deck.

Great note about checking out the old ones! I’m very into some of the stuff from the zombie deck for my Scarab God deck, but I got a few set boosters and pulled Wilhelt, and grabbed the 6 or so other cards I wanted for cheap. A lot of the good reprints in there are cards I already own, but they’re a great starting point for someone looking to build a deck like that! I am thinking of a counters deck at some point, so I’ll check in on the price of the Coven Counters deck when I do.

Me and my wife like to just play Preconstructed-Decks. We got 14 precon commander decks now and we just roll a dice which one we are playing. The most of them are really balanced and it's more a matter of luck then the power of the deck. The only one I needed to modify/balance was mystic intellect (2019)

Thank you for making these vids! Thanks to your help, I've graduated from the gateway drug of Ranar and Brago flickering in the kaldheim precon, to durdling for 10+ minutes on EACH of my turns after I upgraded it to Roon of the Hidden Realm. I've even triggered a table flip after gaining 118 life in one turn and then casting cosmic intervention the third time my opponents tried to board wipe me!

Sound advice. I just picked up the Coven Counters pre-con for $16 basically just for the mana base and the new printed legendaries for a Kaltida, Dawnheart Prime human tribal I'm building. Can't beat that!

Honestly I like that there are less foils in these precons. Mtg foil quality is simply horrible and I avoid them at all costs.

I was at my local Walmart yesterday, and they had the green white deck on sale for 14.99 so I just had to pick one up
