At UFC 43 two young Heavyweights in Frank Mir and Wes Sims faced off looking to climb the ranks. Mir attempted an armbar early in the fight when Sims would lift and slam him. But in a shocking move afterwards Sims would head stomp Mir and disqualify himself. Before the rematch at UFC 46 Sims didn't seem apologetic about the move which frustrated Mir. Mir would win by knockout and the two would show respect after the fight. #ufc #frankmir #shorts #mma

Tom Aspinall really does remind me of a young Frank Mir. Killer BJJ with great striking

I remember when Sims was on the Ultimate Fighter and he said he beat Frank Mir twice. I think he was just a natural troll.

For me personally, the rematch was probably the most satisfying fight I watched in the history of UFC.

Mir is one of the most well rounded heavyweights of all time.

Frank Mir was an animal in his prime. One of my favorite fighters along with BJ pen, Nate Diaz and a few others back then

Franks knees at heavyweight were some of the best to watch! ITPmma has a vid of all his finishes but they get more brutal as they go and man it shows😭🔥

Before the motorcycle accident Mir was awesome. He is the reason I got into the UFC and MMA. His arm break of Tim Sylvia was crazy.

Mir and Sims were both heavily gassed by the ending sequence of the fight but Frank mustered up every bit of strength he had left to revenge KO his ass

Prime Mir was a force to be seen. Unfortunate which version would show up would seem to change fight to fight. When me was on, he was almost unstoppable. When he was off, it was over on the first round.

I miss Mir's fights. Win or lose they were amazing. Also watching his BJJ skills was incredible.

People forget Frank has a black belt in Kempo, on top of his Muay Thai training. His stand up is better than people give him credit for

If he hadn't had the motorcycle accident, it would have been really cool to see how Mir's career would have panned out

I use to think Mir was a grub, Silvias arm, Nogueras shoulder ahhh tough to watch… After his accident he wasn’t quite the same he didn’t have that mongrel in him! A great fighter with great Bjj
