So glad you covered the Perons, I think they're some of the most interesting and complex political figures in history. I've been fascinated by Evita for years.

An expert of coup de theatre, a vétéran of a coup d'état, brought together by a coup de foudre. In one word: brilliant.

When Evita's body was found, I can only imagine how the conversation between Juan and Isabel went.
Juan: "Honey, I need you to do me a favor. ."
Isabel: 🤬🤬

For a brief moment, she had it all: beauty, glamour, power, and the very possible Vice Presidency (unheard of for a woman in Latin America at that time in history). Juan was the President of Argentina in name only: the heart and soul of the country rested with Evita. She had EVERYTHING but time. May she rest eternally in peace and power.

The story of her corpse is almost as interesting as the story of her life.

it's curious that Peròn's first two wives both died of cervical cancers; has any one investigated whether he was a carrier of the HPV virus? Now that there is a vaccine for the HPV--human papilloma virus, here in Australia, it is given, as a matter of course, in a course of three injections.

I can’t watch your videos fast enough. 2-3 hours of my day have you on while I work. It’s lovely. Can’t wait to find out what absorbed knowledge I have gained at my next trivia outing. Keep it up!

You weren't kidding about a contradicting life. I went back and forth from thinking “well that's so progressive and ahead of it’s time” to “that’s terrible.” lol 😆 really.

Also I always wondered why there are so many Nazis in Argentina still to this day. Now I know. Excellent video.

Peron is the reason unions in Argentina are so powerful and why Argentina's economic situation is now always precarious while governments never fix it while preaching social justice.

If you want more details about Evita AFTER death I highly recommend the video Evita Peron iconic corpse by Ask a Mortician. It is an INSANE STORY!!!

I was hoping you guys would cover these two. Really interesting. Great job as always. Perhaps you could add Imelda and Ferdinand Marcos to the list?

I'm glad you guys did another couple like the Wallis Simpson and Edward VIII one. The story of the Peron's was much better though in my opinion. It had more emotion and heart plus I remember Willis not even liking Edward that much even after he gave up the crown for her. But the Peron's just seem like they were good to each for a while it seems. You guys should do another couple video like a U.S. president and their first lady

I listen to you while I'm doing housework and it's really been a joy but can I just say, you speak so fast and actually drop facts with every word.
I've had to replay 30 seconds at a time every time I space out a bit because there's no way to fill in the gaps when actual facts are missed.
I love it but damn. 😄

The encounter at the Luna Park seems to be the official version. According to an Argentinian writer, Peron became curious about Evita when attending the farewell party of a foreign ambassador. The leaving diplomat told his hosts: “One of the reasons why I’ll miss this city is a lady who does the best ...job in South America”.

As a tangent to the musical bios idea, how about one on Victor Hugo -the author of Les Miserables?
