In the defence of Surge
His upgrading mechanic is really unique enough to be legendary. He is the only one to do this after all. Lou should have been a legendary, but he is so unpopular that mythic make him a bit more enticing because it is easier to get.

Idk about the other cromatics but surge and cordelious should be legendary..they both have special abilities surge have different stages and cordelious has his own different world (realm)

I feel like this creates an imbalance between the rarities with these changes, because now there will be significantly more epics and Mythics.

Surge as a legendary is right, a mechanic every time you use the super, you get a new mechanic that makes you stronger, which makes complete sense to be legendary mainly because it is an extremely unique mechanic, Belle doesn't have much alone it has the form of damage and the super is very basic, Lou is ok, due to the freezing mechanic but many other brawlers have this mechanic, while Surge has an extremely unique and creative mechanic, he really deserved to be a legendary

I think Frank mentioned in a post one time that Legendaries aren't determined by how "unique" they are, the most unique brawlers are of the Epic and Mythic Tier, but of how challenging they can be against new players who start the game.

Ash is so unique in my opinion, I have no idea why he has the same rarity as Pearl, Gale and Maisie which have basic mechanics. The same goes for Sam.

Ive seen a redditor say belle should be super rare, and i agree, she's so basic

Gale should be a super rare, Lou is good as a epic, Belle is just made for that red background, and if Amber can be a legendary, then so can R-T.

I heavily disagree with Surge, Belle and Lou placements. Surge is one of the most unique brawlers in the game, while lots of brawlers have different stances and modes that almost make them completely different characters (Sam, Meg, Bonnie, R-T) Surge is the only character that upgrades his own abilities and the way you play changes with each one of them. The more upgrades you have, the better you perform, but also it gets riskier since you may lose it all in one death. His super, aside from this upgrading, also doubles as a mobility and assassination tool. As much as Surge sucks in the meta rn, he's undoubtedly one of the most unique chromatics.

Lou, on the other hand, is just average. His super is pretty gimmicky and is definitely the ultimate control tool, but it's only unique tool is the ice sliding and that's just enough to be a mythic. His brain freeze mechanic is cool too, but it's just a stun, a lot of brawlers can stun without a meter, and if Ash, who also has a unique meter with properties, is an epic, then Lou isn't legendary material, not even close.

Belle is one of the most epic-tier brawlers in my opinion, I'd have to twist my whole view of reality to see her as legendary. Her bouncy attack is ripped straight out from Jessie, who can also hit many times with her attack, and her super is just a defense debuff, a permanent one! But R-T can do pretty much the same thing in a support-y way and he's mythic. She's just that, a sniper with a little gimmick, the same as Piper, Bea and Mandy, and they're all epic.

When i saw Cordy I thought "Damn Supercell really giving us that really cool brawler and it's not even legendary?!?" Cordelius honestly deserves the legendary status more than actual legendaries such as Amber

I still think they should have done a community post before they hand picked the rarities by themselves, since if the community said surge should be a legendary no one would be mad since they voted that, but since we got this out of nowhere it's definitely going to raise some eye brows.
