It's done all the time in courts all over the U.S.A. They ask you to place your right hand on the Holy Bible and tell you, "Do you solemnly swear to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, so help you God?" If your God-fearing, you tell the truth, even if it incriminates you? At least you'll have a clear conscience when you eventually face the True Judge, and Creator of All!🙏 (they seem to know all too well the consequences, if they were to lie about it.)
