Why God Hates Religion

Did that greater intelligence we generically call God create the many competing religions? What if the true message of Jesus was about examining our deeply held beliefs and letting go of the ego-driven religious, ethnic, and nationalistic identities we've adopted? Let’s explore how the Golden Rule of treating others as we want to be treated can break down the walls of division, fear, and hate that separate us and challenge the old notion that religion should divide us, but instead, find common ground in love, compassion, and understanding.

I got this excellent comment from @brianjoebasualdo on a poll but I want to pin it here because it is what a lot of people ask. He stated 8 very good and detailed points that are very important to all who go by the label of Christian so here are his eight points and my thoughts on them:

1. God never broke any covenant and always stayed faithful
I can agree with you on that point but have a different view on your other points

2. God never abandoned Israel, and always followed it wherever it's people went.

God is Omnipresent. God didn’t follow Israel. God was already everywhere. The Holy Spirit fills every cubic inch in the universe including the 99.999% empath space that makes up our Body Temple. (See my videos on the Holy Spirit as the Quantum Field) God was aware of Israel and sent Jesus as the Messiah but while the common people heard Him gladly” (Mark 12:37) those who ruled the peoples minds by administering the System felt their power and wealth threatened so they had to kill Him: “Then the chief priests and the Pharisees called a meeting of the Sanhedrin.“What are we accomplishing?” they asked. “Here is this man performing many signs. 48 If we let him go on like this, everyone will believe in him, and then the Romans will come and take away both our temple and our nation.” John 11:47-48 NIV

3. God showed deep love towards other nations different than Israel too (I mean, read Jonah)

My angel will go before you and bring you to the Amorites, Hittites, Perizzites, Canaanites, Hivites, and Jebusites; and I will wipe them out. Exodus 23:23

The men of Israel withdrew through the territory of the Benjaminites, putting to the sword the inhabitants of the city, the livestock, and all they chanced upon. Moreover they destroyed by fire all the cities they came upon. Judges 20:48

This is what the Lord of hosts has to say: Go, now, attack Amalek, and deal with him and all that he has under the ban. Do not spare him, but kill men and women, children and infants, oxen and sheep, camels and asses.' 1 Samuel 15:2-3

The people of Samaria must bear the consequences of their guilt because they rebelled against their God. They will be killed by an invading army, their little ones dashed to death against the ground, their pregnant women ripped open by swords." Hosea 13:16

Here are more if you want more bible stories demonstrating what you call God’s “deep love” towards other nations but I call the exact opposite: Deuteronomy 7:1-2, Hosea 13:16, Exodus 23:23, 1 Samuel 15: 3, Judges 20:48, Joshua 6:20-21, Psalm 137:9, Judges 20:48, 1 Samuel 15:2-3, Jeremiah 48:10, Numbers 31:15-18, Deut. 2:34, Deuteronomy. 3:6:, Joshua 6:21, Joshua 8:26, Joshua 10:28-40, Joshua 10:8 -11
BTW God never sent a prophet to teach these nations and he caused the people who were born there to be killed simply because God caused them to be born there.

4. God offered a solution to Adam and Eve, and gave them clothing and taught them how to honor him.

Do you believe this was an actual historical event Brian? From this story comes the Doctrine of Original Sin which is the most important doctrine of Christianity because, according to Paul, Jesus was “the second Adam” who came to undo the tragedy of the first Adam so the fall of mankind made Jesus coming to die necessary according to Orthodox Christian theology. If this belief was true it seems like every bible writer would be talking about humanity's fall from paradise and how to return but the fall is only mentioned briefly in four bible passages. All four are by Paul and two only say that because Eve was deceived women are to be under men’s authority: “11 A woman should learn in quietness and full submission. 12 I do not permit a woman to teach or to assume authority over a man; she must be quiet. 13 For Adam was formed first, then Eve. 14 And Adam was not the one deceived; it was the woman who was deceived and became a sinner. 15 But women will be saved through childbearing—if they continue in faith, love and holiness with propriety. 1 Timothy 2:11-15 .The other three passages that mention the fall of mankind in the garden are: 2 Corinthians 11: 3, 1 Corinthians 15: 21-22, and Romans 5: 12-21.

5. God used Israel's enemy nations as a way to educate Israel.

Then 10 generations of Israelites (400 years) lived having only learned from God what the brutal life of slaves in Egypt was like.

God used the king of Aram to lay siege to Israel to starve the people in order to teach Israel that God wasn’t bluffing when he said he would force them to kill and eat their own children: “in my anger I will be hostile toward you, and I myself will punish you for your sins seven times over. 29 You will eat the flesh of your sons and the flesh of your daughters”. Leviticus 26:28-29 NIV,
See also: Jeremiah 19:9, Deuteronomy 28: 49 & 52-54, 2 Kings 6:28-29, Deuteronomy 28:57, Ezekiel 5: 8-10, Leviticus 26:27-29, Zechariah 11:9, Isaiah 9:19-20, Lamentations 4:10 and the Babylonians, Assyrians, etc.

6. God pardoned each and every time Israel failed to follow the law.

So the Lord sent a pestilence upon Israel from the morning until the appointed time, and seventy thousand men of the people from Dan to Beersheba died. When the angel stretched out his hand toward Jerusalem to destroy it, the Lord relented from the calamity and said to the angel who destroyed the people, “Enough! Now relax your hand!” 2 Samuel 24:14 – 16 ( God killed 70, 000 and was going to destroy Jerusalem until God Repented (Strong's H5162 nāḥam to be sorry, console oneself, repent, regret, comfort, be comforted”) But 2 Samuel 24:1 says God incited David to take the census and then killed 70, 000 people.

I the lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation. Exodus 20:5 S

ee also: Numbers 11:1-2, Job 4:9, Lamentations 2:2, Isaiah 51:20, Ezekiel 7:8, Habakkuk 3:12, Isaiah 13:9, Jeremiah 7:29, Deuteronomy 31:17, 2 Kings 17:18, Jeremiah 11:3 and especially Deuteronomy 28:15-68, Numbers 32:13, 2 Kings 13:3, Exodus 15:7, Exodus 32:10-11, Ezekiel 7:8, Isaiah 13:9, Numbers 32:13, 2 Kings 13:3 for other examples where Yahweh failed to "pardon" Israel.

7. God prevented humans to keep edificating the tower of Babel to prevent them succeeding in their egoistical and idolatrism, which would have led them to "confirming" in their own hearts the wrong idea that they could be like a God, and becoming awful people.

Would it be an “awful” thing if everyone in the world was like Christ instead of like Christianity? That is the world I want to see for my kids, grand kids and many yet unborn, don't you? If everyone was like Christ (following Jesus' message in the gospels)there would be no war, homelessness, disease and it would be “Thy kingdom come, Thy will be is being done, here ON EARTH as it is in heaven wouldn’t it? . What did Jesus mean in saying, “I am in the Father and the Father is in me, I and the Father are one”? The Pharisees tried to stone him for blasphemy. What did he mean then when He prayed to the Father for us saying, Father, may they be one as we are one, I in them and you in me that they may be perfectly united” (John 10:30, John 14:20, John:17:20-21, John 17:22-23, John 17:26, John 14:9-11, also Colossians 2:9, Colossians 1:19, Ephesians 4:6) ?

With all due respect what you stated about the tower of Babel can be believed but in no way proven any more than there is any way to prove there was a real garden of Eden, or a historic Adam, Eve and the talking serpent.

8. God sent many prophets just to signal not only Israel, but also enemy nations on what to do. And so on.

Yes God sent prophets and I believe Jesus is the Messiah but while the common people loved him (Mark 12:37) but those ruling the Belief System felt their wealth and power threatened so they had to crucify Him. (John 11:47-48). The prophets often rebuked the priests and gave the message that Jesus tried to teach which is God does not desire sacrifice but to love God and your neighbor as yourself. This fulfills ALL the Law and the Prophets. (Mark 12:28-34, Luke 10:25-37, Matthew 7:12, Matthew 22:39-40, Mark 12:28-34, Luke 6:35, Luke 10: 27, , John 13:34, Matthew 5:8-12, Matthew 5: 43-48, Luke 6:27-36, And: 1 Cor. 13, Romans 13:8-10, Galatians 5:13-14, 22-23 1 John 4:7-8)

To me the evidence is clear Brian. God as portrayed in the old testament speaks ceaselessly of his great love and mercy but actions speak louder than words. I only scratched the surface of Yahweh’s anger. There are 158 killing sprees by the God portrayed in the Old Testament totaling many millions if we just total the ones that give the body count. Can you give me any actual examples of mercy shown by Yahweh? To say that because he didn’t kill all the people of Nineveh or that God repented and stopped the angel from destroying Jerusalem after killing 70, 000 was merciful doesn't fit my or the dictionary definition of love and mercy.

It was only when I dared question what I had accepted in Childhood that I found the beauty of Jesus Christ.

Nice, thank you. It is amazing how everyone can recognize the man-made nature of all the religions they don’t embrace, but can’t see the man-made nature of the particular religion they do embrace. The fog of deception runs thick.

Amazing video, it really opened my eyes when you talked about how children saw the world at 2:13

Thank you so much for posting this. I don’t necessarily believe in God, but I hope that one exists. Unfortunately, the self-righteousness that’s rampant throughout the world’s main religions pushes me away from the idea. It’s horrific how cruel people can be when defending their nasty, divisive ideologies. Videos like this give me a tremendous sense of catharsis. This is quality, underrated content. Thanks again for sharing, this helped me.

I appreciated the general message. Take courage as you get pushback from traditional Christians and scientific materialists. I’m sure you’re used to it. This is the price of admission, but unfortunately some folks aren’t inclined to disagree politely. Know that there are like-minded folks that dig this. The friendly tone is a plus too. Kudos.

Thank you for these videos. They’re so helpful and it’s great seeing others who also share same beliefs and is based on sound reason.

Without the Judeo-Christian beliefs and hence what we call the Bible. The beatitudes you reference spoken by Jesus would not exist. Right?

It's a bit off topic but I think it is still something important to know about for today's age:

1. Yuri Bezmenov's lecture (1983) and his interview (1984) about Subversion. Compare what he said 40-41 years ago with today.
2. Anatoliy Golitsyn another soviet defector's (1961) predictions.
2a. Interview: "The Fake Break up of the Soviet Union, Anatoliy Golitsyn New Lies for Old"
2b. His works: "New Lies for Old" and "Perestroika Deception".
3. Kalergi's "practical idealism" and UN - Replacement Migration
4. The circumstances surrounding the death of US General Patton (1945). Get this Information from videos or checkout the diary and his letters. Additionally checkout "Target Patton" by Wilcox.

The God of the New Testament says yes to the God of the Old Testament in 2 Timothy 3:16 as all scripture includes the entire Old Testament.

All the writers of the Old Testament believed in the God of the Old Testament. The fact that the God of the New Testament acknowledged them as true believers points to the fact that their belief was in the one true God.
For example the New Testament teaches that Abraham was a true believer and that he believed in the God of the Old Testament.

Man made institutions which love God in name only but don't love like he commanded us too. Institutions with hierarchy, hypocrisy and other things which Goes against God. Jesus never said to find a church or an institution but to hear God's voice, love him and love our neighbor. Religion can keep us separated from our father and keep us in shackles, which Jesus came to set free. Only one command matters truly that is love your neighbor as yourself, cause everything else falls from that.

You are so right. I had to learn for myself to let go ALL RELIGIONS if I wanted to have a REAL relationship with the one SPIRIT GOD. I have looked at ALL the RELIGIONS and they ALL say that THEY have the TRUTH. Well, the TRUTH for me is NO RELIGION NECESSARY. I will spend my time studying and getting to know GOD for myself. Not studying some RELIGION.

Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.

Religion: (noun) the belief in and worship of a superhuman power or powers, especially a God or gods.

Yes, it’s a relationship with Jesus based on grace and not works, but that doesn’t mean it’s not a religion. That means it’s the one true religion

I would differ with you that the golden rule is the foundation of all religions. Unless we want to define actual religions as based on the golden rule and the rest as cults.

Hey Danny I’m curious I know you said that as a child or in your Fundamentalist Christian days you were taught to hate Gays, Atheists, Liberals, Humanists and people from other religions, that if we question the Bible God might get really angry, no dancing, no drinking alcohol and no swearing you can’t even use the word heck. I’m curious what were you taught about people from other kinds of Christianity and people who aren’t Atheists but aren’t religious either, believe in God but aren’t religious, are like I don’t know about it all or never think about that stuff? Also what were you taught about healthy selfishness and going after what you want in a way that doesn’t hurt anyone? Were you taught that there’s healthy selfishness or were you taught to always put others first and yourself last or worse that you are to basically sell your soul to God and always ask his permission to have fun, go after your dreams or whatever and that it’s a sin to live your life for you? Also you don’t seem to have a problem hearing the perspectives of Fundamentalist Christians even though you think they’re wrong so I’m curious if you happen to find that the Fundamentalist Christians are right would you be like well I guess I gotta follow where the evidence leads and bow to the Fundamentalist Christian God or would you be like even if the Fundamentalist Christian God is the real God I still won’t bow to him and want nothing to do with him? Do you think you’d rather spend eternity in hell or with and worshiping the God who created it if you had to choose the lesser of 2 evils? Also this is off topic but I’m curious do you like Dr Pepper? I’m a Dr Pepper freak, it’s my favourite drink. Basically my passions these days are Dr Pepper and human psychology ❤

The Jews have the truth, Zech. 8:23, not the Christians, and it's the Hebrew Messiah that will bring about world peace, Isa. 2:2-4, not JC who said he came NOT to bring peace but a sword, making him an anti-messiah. I would like to see you do a rebuttal of the Youtube video put out by Jewsforjudaism called "Why Are Christian Missionaries Wrong about Jesus".

Religion is duality.

Look at everything we see as duality, and the ways it is harmful.

Now see religion for what it is.
