The Duolingo English test is the newest English proficiency test available for English students to take in order to get an official English score. You usually need to take a test like the Duolingo English test before applying for universities and colleges.

This new Duolingo English test is made specifically for those who need to get an official English score to study at a university or college. Hello Luke, please guide me, how can I write my whole paragraph in just 50-60 words as my typing speed not like 50 words per minute? Although in practise test I wrote 65-70 words many time, writing intro, supporting sentences with examples and conclusion. I think it become quite shortage of time for most of the student to add conclusion at the end.

I wonder if we would lose marks for not having consistency in pronunciation and spelling. For example, using a mixture of American and British accent, pronunciation and spelling.
Also I would like to know if we can correct ourselves in 3-seconds picture description. For example, at first we say "tie" and then we change it to "necktie". would it be OK or do we lose marks for this??

1. Internet has changed our life. What are the merits and demerits of internet?
Ans. The discussion about whether or not internet has changed our life is a controversial ones.
On the one hand, internet is a modern part of today’s world. As I feel this can bring more independence, self-determination and bright future of our life. On the other hand, internet can create a threat for our civilization.
In conclusion, although there are some demerits, internet provides significant and unquestionable merits.

2. Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? Parents are the best teachers. Use specific reasons to support your answer.
Ans. Personally, I strongly agree with the parents are the best teachers owing to below mentioned reasons.
Firstly, parents can understand to what their children need and how they learn best. Apart from this, parents can be a friendly loving with children. For example, they can tell their personal problem with parents.
In conclusion, parents play a vital role of the family.

3. In general, people are living longer today. Discuss some of the implication of the phenomenon.
Ans. The assertion that people are living longer today seem to me constitute a fundamental confusion about this issue. Personally, I agree that this trend is true.
On the one hand, if mature people work in any place and organization longer, his position will be enough strong. Then, they gain much experience. On the other hand, there are many problems for young generation. Then, they do work hard to establish themselves in any place and any organization.
In conclusion, I think that senior people should be given the most importance.

4. Fewer people write by hands nowadays. Why do you think this is happening?
Ans. It is true that due to technology fewer people write by hands nowadays. The situation can lead to various causes.
The primary reason is due to the higher standard of living which results in the growth of using technology.
However, this situation can be tacked by using traditional source of information such as books, notes. Apart from this, government also can help about this issue.

5. Explain the story- line of the recent movie you saw and what you learnt from the movie?
Ans. I have been watching a recent movie for a pretty long time, and the story-line of movie was about success. By watching I have learnt much more thing from the movie.
Firstly, people define success in different ways. They see success by wealth and status. Moreover, I see success as the result of achieving personal by hard work. A successful people are self-made.
