This sounds like an NSA backdoor leaked.

I remember being in a Cisco networking class in 2010 and our instructor telling us "get used to it! IPv6 is about to take over any year now and we're out almost entirely out of ipv4 addresses" and here we are... 2024.

4:54 Microsoft after all these years, can still take like 5 months to finally release a security update.

Internet Streaming protocol(s) used 5 in the version number of IP-header, so while it was never known as IPv5 it would have been hella confusing to define IPv6 as IPv5 and have the headers use the same version number as internet streaming protocol.

It would have definitely been possible however. IPv4 has a reserved flag bit which could have been used to separate ST and the next IP protocol version.

I read a great book about TCP/IP stack, that had a whole chapter on IPv6 as the future of internet. It was written in 2002.

I literally stopped a few seconds in to ping the entire company about this. Now we're slow rolling the updates as I write this. This sh is crazy...

Voln? As in "Volnerability"?
Are those anything like Vulnerabilities?

8:30 One of the reasons why I will postpone my "smart house" until it is physically impossible to not upgrade. It doesn't matter how secure the seller tells you that your things are, the reality is that your video feed may end up on the Internet like with that guy who hacked into millions of baby cameras.
Nothing is safe while it is connected to the Internet.

Any opening will be eventually exploited, so why would I poke holes in my own house?

Its the same vulnerability every 2 years. Ha.. Problems with ipv6 or/and the network stack in microsoft os. Its a publicly found back door. Some black ops, say every major update is 2 more backdoors added and 1 backdoor closed. LoL. I had an aunt in the late 1990s that would say this all the time. She worked at such gov't facilities.

yes, Azure Central US region was effectively DOA for several hours in the evening before crowdstrike due to a storage plane issue. i actually was affected by this more than the CS issue, and didn’t even know about it until my wife started talking about it in the afternoon

I have actually never once brought down a prod system. I have always been the one to bring it back online. I have responded to and resolved 9 incidents of a production system going down, 1 of which was a cybersecurity incident in which an AWS account got hacked and required deploying the whole application to GCP in the meantime. (There was also that one time that AWS itself went down, but all I did for that was put up a static error page until AWS fixed itself, so I'm not counting it.)

The Problem i see with a lot of Windows users(includind Thor) is that they love what windows used to be and are now in a tocic relationship thinking back to the good ol days.

"This has to be the longest adoption of any technology I've ever seen"
The metric system begs to differ.
