Acclaimed actor and producer John Leguizamo is taking viewers inside the country's most thriving Latino communities in "Leguizamo Does America.” The six-part docu-series devotes each episode to a different U.S. city. With his hallmark wit, energy and edge, Leguizamo dives deep into each city's distinct Latino heritage and explores the vast contributions that Latinos have made to the American cultural landscape. “We’re the oldest ethnic group,” Leguizamo said on ‘Velshi.’ “We’re the sons and daughters of the American revolution… that’s not in history textbooks. Critical race theory is needed to help bring out this information.”

Love the ageless Leguizamo, but I don't like the fact that he keeps repeating the falicy that latins are the only ethnic group that has fought in every American war. That's false. African Americans fought in every war- even before this country was a nation. Not that it's a competition, but if you're going to say something so definitive- be right. If not, all your other information becomes suspect.

He’s too proud of a conquistador to be playing the race card… Either you are claiming your indigenous side, or your European Spain side… We can’t feel bad for both….

Ummm...he said Latino's "Discovered" this country. This country wasn't discovered, it was invaded by Spain, France, and England. There was already a massive population of indigenous people. He's crowing about the conquistadors. 😱

While the program was designed to call for more inclusion and acknowledgement of the Latino population, I really respect that Leguizamo included a nod to the contributions made by ethnic Latinos/Hispanics from multiple countries whether Black or Brown in complexion, as well as African Americans as the originators of several musical genres.

Alas, a positive and important decision to share history for understanding and truth about today.

This clown was upset there were no Latino voices in the Mario movie even though he played Luigi in the 90s movie, and Mario and Luigi are Italian. He fits in at MSNBC.

I am naive New Yorker and lived in Houston and a Mexican told me Texas was once apart of Mexico and I said if Texas was Mexico I would leave.

I wish I could get a dollar for every Trump story on MSNBC... and just a dime for every Biden disaster or gaffe story they refuse to show you. (Either way, I could move in next door to BLM mansions in Santa Barbara).

What people need to be paying attention to is what an amazing job Gavin Newsom has done in California! This man should be president, the standard of living here thanks to him is second to none

Somehow he has made an even bigger clown of himself than he was in Spawn. That's impressive!
