Prickly Pear (Opuntia), exotic fruit tasting

The prickly pear cactus yields an unusual fruit, known in Spanish as "tuna," and known by scientists as Opuntia. I try this new exotic fruit, which you can find in many Guatemala markets in varieties that range from green to purple on their exterior.
