Area 51 is a popular subject in alien conspiracies and UFO's are always exciting. Scientists look for alien life in the solar system, on other planets and even moons. The light from the Andromeda galaxy took (from our perspective) a very long time, but from the perspective of the photons that came from the Andromeda galaxy, it didn't age at all, the trip was instantaneous. One of the very long list of problems of light speed travel - assuming every other obstacle was overcome and you actually could travel at light speed and you set off for, let's say, the Andromeda galaxy, from your perspective, you would have got there in literally no time at all but from the perspective of the rest of the universe, it took you nearly three million years and even stars and galaxies can move pretty far in that time. You would need to be able to figure out where your destination is going to be in the amount of time it takes from the perspective of your target destination or you'll arrive pretty far from where you wanted to arrive. Of course, if you were able to surmount all of the other problems, like the amount of energy needed, the ability to be invincible, so you aren't annihilated when you crash into speck of dust or being vaporized by the Cosmic background radiation, figuring out where your destination is going to be is easy 😂.

I wonder how big other creatures can grow, out there in the vastness of the universe! Also what an intelligent extraterrestrial Civilization would look like. It's a peaceful experience just looking up at the stars, so many questions!

(Came from Cool Worlds channel!) ✌🏼

At 20:57 : that is a picture of Bruce McCandless performing the first untethered spacewalk. I was fortunate enough to meet Mr McCandless. He described to me that spacewalk to me. He also told me he had one regret about that spacewalk. Look at that picture. Can you guess what it was?

Could any microorganism from Earth be able to live in any other planet in our solar system?

My favourite aliens: Pink Eyes, the sight-impaired tragical prophet of the Cheela, who first noticed the existence of a "divine" messenger from above - which was the human expedition spaceship sent in 2050 to the neutron star "Dragon's Egg" in Robert L. Forward's famous same-titled hard sci-fi novel, sending surveying laser beams to its surface... and Swift-Killer, the Cheela polymath who facilitated communication with that spaceship through her various ingenious inventions and a dangerous expedition to the mountains at the eastern magnetic pole of the neutron star which almost ended in her death... oh, I'm spoiling...

Picture Earth at night as if you were looking at it from ISS. Let's say that's the Universe. Now imagine a light pops up somewhere in that vast darkness. Let's say that's a civilization. The light stays on for a few minutes; in cosmic terms, that may be a few thousands of years. Then the light dims and turns off... A few minutes later another light pops up somewhere else, then turns off after an hour or two... Now two more lights pop up! If one light is in Brazil and another one in Finland, can they see each other? Can they develop technologies advanced enough to communicate or even visit each other before their lights inevitably fade away? There may have been many lights before us that we haven't seen, many lights right now that we are unable to see, and there may be many more lights popping up long after ours is extinguished...

Kenneth Arnold told the press he saw bat wing shaped craft that flew like a saucer bouncing on water. All of a sudden the public are seeing saucers in the sky because the press printed flying saucers rather than flying batwings.

The search for intelligent life is taking place closer than we are led to believe?

@ 19:24 : if we are the first intelligent life in the universe, then maybe WE will be the aliens that seed intelligent life throughout the galaxy!
