The enclave power armor from fo3 looks like a redesign of the Midwest Bos armor made to be more retro

Yeah this is interesting stuff for me. Because, Tactics really did have an impact on the series. More so than ever had been given credit before. Even down to minor bits of Fallout 4 lore Oxhorn didn't mention. Like the Quartermaster on the Prydwen telling you that you have to buy your gear. Something that started in Tactics actually, as in previous games the Brotherhood just assigned gear on a mission needs basis and the rank of the person from all appearances. Including still doing that in Fallout: New Vegas.

Am I the only one who think that your brain in this DLC sounds an awful lot like Stewie from Family Guy?

One of the things I find funny about Fallout Tactics being non canonical, is that in Fallout 4 (a canonical game in said series); Captain Kells directly references Tactics as canonical when asking about the Prydwin. He talks about how the Brotherhood had a fleet of airships in the past. Direct reference to Tactics, a non canon game.

In 3 there are a bunch of US army robots roaming around trying to kill everything which sounds like the Pacification process from tactics

I still think its funny to send Fawkes into the purifier. When he activates it he kind of glares at the terminal and then kicks it before the screen fades to black.🤣🤣🤣

One point Oxhorn missed that I loved was that there was a schism within the Botherhood. Of these factions, one would take in new blood and the other wouldn't. In Tactics, the schism was caused by this, resulting in the exile of was would become the mid-west Brotherhood. In Fallout 3, the Capital Brotherhood were sent to investigate and broke up over ideologies of protection of civilians vs safeguarding technology with recruitment being a side issue. In the end, the Fallout 4 Brotherhood still recruit readily (yourself and Danse being examples), and the Western Brotherhood do so reluctantly (seen in New Vegas).

What about how the philosophy of the Tactics Brotherhood is open up and accept wastelanders into their ranks as well as somewhat charitable mission is similar to Lyons’ Brotherhood’s open recruitment of producers and a much more pronounced focus on helping the people of the wasteland?

And the design similarities of the Tactics power armour to the Enclave power armour of FO3?

I'd love to see a series going through the lore and evolution of Fallout for various companies, weapons, armor, etc that span multiple games,

I was thinking about how Vault zero is described in tactics and well thinking about it it makes a lot of sense. Where does all that information that a vault collects from an experiment go? vault zero of course its the brain of the vaults. And the dichotomy between the stuff said in terminals in tactics and the actual use of the vaults can be explained away by saying that those terminals found in tactics were used by lower ranking vault-tec staff and lower ranks didn’t know about the experiments.

The brain-computer interfaces technically were already a thing in fallout2, though in that case they were to-be-used as actual (though initially blank-slate) organic computers for AIs or robots (Skynet in fallout2 and brainbots in geral at Sierra Army Depot) rather than a way for donors to extend their lifespan.

I played FA:T, and F3, and NV on release. This vid took hundreds of words right out of my mouth. Long live FA:T

Tactics really is the Mario 2 of the Fallout franchise, isn't it?

I love how unforgiving tactics was. If you patch out all those trash bugs the devs left in. It’s an amazing game.
