I got my first Floyd Rose equipped guitar the other day, a Harley Benton Fusion. I got it knowing it'll be a but of pain to set up and restring, but I got it knowing that and willing to learn about it and how to set it up. It's a fun toy

I owned that exact model in the 90ies, I ended up trading it in on a Marshall JCM 900 stack deal...I'ver regreted that trade in ever since!

That neck is awesome, I've got short fingers but that neck was perfect for me.

Been searching for a "new" one lately, but they are a rare find here in Europe and those that are on sale are very expensive.

Hold on to that one, it's the best looking and playing stock superstrat of that era, and its beautiful!!!

I have a great jackson soloist....i say get a good trim...and when new string time...just change ONE string at a time....and tune it

A good tip when you putting on new strings is to put on the same size. For example if the old strings is from 0, 09 so put on 0, 09 on the new strings to. I havent had any issues that way. I take all strings of when i change strings and cleaning the neck then put on the new strings i always use daddero 0.09. And sofar i havent had any issues at all and i havent been forced to make any adjustments on springs after. So in my opinion dont be afraid of floyd rose just learn how it work and things will be easy. :)

Floyd rose is one of the best trems people only repeat others opinions most of the time having never used one. It's like with line 6 amps it became cool to dog them but really line 6 amps are really good now, people are still just hating on the 1st spider amp ever made. No I'm. It saying it's the best amps of course not but they have come along long way from what people are still hating on.

Charvels are my shit I don't have an old one like u seem to have when charvel and jackson was together. I have a charvel San dimas in deep metallic purple. Yeah the floyd rose is so much freaking fun shit even if u don't know how to set it up or hate setting them up .... they are a fucking blast to use and once they are set up there really isn't a better trem system. I haven't tried a couple that I want too tho like the Vega trem or the virtual jef...

Don’t let it sit! I swear it’s impossible to get mine back into playable condition if you’re not playing it don’t let the trem system get all unbalanced it’s a lot harder to get set back up then to do the minor maintenance.
