Fun Fact: Paul Revere was a good propagandist for himself because Sybil Ludington, not only rode further to warn the Minute Men but actually informed the correct Minute Men who could gather others to fight with them.

His late night ride is legendary but of course there were other riders that night, they too deserve the credit however unknown and anonymous they are. My favorite depiction of the midnight ride is by regionalism artist Grant Wood and his eye in the sky depiction.

Unlike another Son of Liberty, I'm not aware of a quality beer named after Paulus. Yay, Samuel Adams !

Henry Wadsworth Longfellow wrote the poem in 1860. Paul Revere’s name was used because it was a better fit because it rhymed. Many riders were involved, he never completed the ride, he already knew the British route, and he never said the British are coming because they were British.

He may not have made G. Washington’s teeth, but I heard he made Hans Sprungfeld’s silver tongue.

His ride was still significant and maybe it was a good thing that history has used Paul Revere to represent the postal and message riders. These were the many great horse riders who were so integral to all areas of society in the 18th century. His greatest asset was his last name that was very conducive to a lyric of a poem.

There once was a line of cookware, clad in copper on the bottom called " Revete-ware " . Mother collected it.

I once heard that Paul Revere stopped at a Colonel's house to sound the alarm. the Colonel was unable to sound the alarm so his 16 year old daughter took on the task and actually road further than PAUL REVERE.

I remember there being one more rider. He disappeared and didn't make it to his destination.

Well done, there is a lot of importance to him, especially in the Boston area. He did get made into a light tall tale. Speaking of which, Do you have a Bio on Paul Bunyan?
