There was an amazing story about synesthesia where a woman could feel what she saw. So she couldn't eat with others bc it felt like they were chewing in her mouth, and she once got the affects of concussion bc she saw a child fall down

"synesthesia " it's how we precieve our experiance on earth, it can refer less in colors but in other sences as you said .
the main title here is that - synesthesia is different from person to person, we chose to refer connections it our brain for matters. those who practice / remember this from childhood called "synesthetic people" but actually we all refer to something to other something in different realm of matter .. so actually everyone is synesthetic .
