I don't think it's laughable Jordan. This football club is a huge part of families lives for decades, and like a child we want whats best for the club. Of course every United fan would rather the Glazers have 20% of the club instead of their current percentage but after 18 years of no investment into the club whether its stadium problems, a dated training complex or the complete mismanagment of managers and players we've had enough of them.

as a media guy research is vital, the protest wasn't really about the RATcliffe he walked into that one himself, It was about the Glazers who have been using the media, threatening to stay because they weren't/aren't getting thier preferred bid. it was planned weeks before the RAT's plan of keeping the Glazers, songs were already written and they just added RATcliffe to the chorus. And like he chose not to mention in his monologue there's a TAKEOVER option on the table.

Can Simon clarify the Class A and Class B shares then? He’s saying that the Glazers won’t have a controlling stake in the club yet we’re also be told that Ratcliffe can only have Class A shares and the Glazers will retain 20% of class B shares which are worth ten times more in terms of stake? So by that count 20% of Class B shares are worth more than 51%-80% of Class A shares 🤷🏻‍♂️ think that’s why there are protests for full sale only.

People seriously don't have the brains to understand that there is difference between buying an asset and buying an asset related to sports. There are literally extra regulations to curb leveraged buyouts after the debacle of Liverpool and Man Utd. Also, football clubs are not pure businesses and should never be run like them. There are many reasons, but one of the main being they simply don't have enough revenue streams to payback the debts incurred due to possible leverage buyouts.

If the big company goes bankrupt only owners are at the loss, while if the footballing instituion goes bankrupt many people who are emotionally invested in are at the loss. Glazers have literally destroyed the once debt free iconic footballing institution having the best ground and best training facilities degrading everything to the second best. To claim that we want oil money, etc. is ignorant when considering the fact that the club has been left to the point that there is no coming back without an influx of money because of the current state the club is in.
