I put a seed in the soil just to see what happens. The husk was still on… took a couple of weeks but it finally sprouted today. I’m so happy! I’m trying to learn what I should be doing next

Excellent concise video, Tony. Thanks, had the seed in a Ziploc in minutes. The seed came from a Cuban Mango that is coconutty and delicious.

I've been seeing these types of channels and videos popping up everywhere. They've existed for a while now, but not like this. With the economy in a depression, , these types of videos and their popularity rising just goes to show that inflation is really starting to hit their pockets and people now, are more than ever, looking for alternatives to supplement their grocery bills ( there are other examples of futures, since this is a video about food, i kept it at that so the thread wouldn't drift). I hope people start noticing the little things happening before it's to late.

I hope your channel boosts. You are creating invaluable information.

Roommate bought a mango for us to try, and being the person I am I saved the seed. This video taught me I needed to remove the husk, so I peeled it off and just finished wrapping the seed in a damp paper towel, putting it in the baggie, and setting it on a windowsill so it stays warm. I have my phone to go off in a week to remind me to check on whether it's germinated or not, and I have a large pot on standby perfect for when it starts sending roots.

A few things to keep in mind. A mango in nature, is in a tropical environment, and falls off a tree when it is ready. In a perfect environment, not every mango falling off the tree will have a seed which is viable, or capable of germinating and becoming another tree. Store bought mango is picked unripe, then goes to cold storage. Seeds from store bought mango may not be viable. Mango are a tropical fruit. Your environment may not support the conditions which the plant needs in order grow, thrive, and give fruit.
