a friend of mine and i did this with some mangoes we got off an old mango tree in Hallandale, FL...we then went all around Marco Island, FL and Naples, FL and planted them in dozens of places.
This was back in 2006.
There are tons of mango trees all over collier county.

If you eat and throw a mango seed anywhere in India it just pops up as a plant. That's how easy it's to grow in India. No hassles. It's a very easy tree to grow. But with right environment.

My mother in law just cracked the pit open, chucked it in a pot with soil, and now we have a baby mango tree...

I did this 7 years ago roughly and now my tree is about 8 ft tall and has given me mangos for two almost three years. The only problem with mine is that the original mango i ate was a regular sized delicious one and the ones it gives me are little grape sized ones though they're still very sweet and delicious so I'm not disappointed too much hehe

I never took the pit off the shell before to grow a Mango tree.

I just opened a hole on the soil, put the whole seed in it, and covered with soil. There, you have a mango seed that will grow into an amazing tree now.

I grew up in El Salvador and that is how it is done. No fancy preparation at all.
It might just take a little longer for the twig to appear, but it surely will grow. The tropical weather is such a generous place to plant. Just throw a fruit seed on the soil, and it would not disappoint😊

I remember eating mangoes from my grandparent's backyard in Puerto Rico. They were so good 😊

I did a different method, I just put it in soil(with curved part in the soil and the two parts that point up out of the soil)and it’s on the same stage as yours, just the roots aren’t the same size.brings all plants are different to be proven

I am currently growing a nectarine tree! I also have 2 orange trees that are about three years old, blueberry seedlings, and a whole bunch of other stuff just from harvesting the seeds out of food I buy.
You can do that trick with anything bulb-like.(onions, garlic, green onions, celery)

the variety of mango tree from seed is determined by pollination and access to other local mango trees. you can graft mango trees and know the variety, but from seed, you gotta wait until a pollinator brings love from other trees.

I've noticed soaking the husk will make it easy peasy to pull off of the seed

There are many different types of mangoes. The best or the ones that are really really smooth and not stringy or pissy at all. They are amazing. Sam’s Club has them. They’re usually yellow in a box so like 10. They’re not the big roundish ones the best ones are more flat.

Nobody grows Mango from seeds. A seed takes 8 years to become a full grown tree and start fruiting. And still that tree needs Grafting to get the desired mango breed. So if someone wants to plant a mango tree then buy a grafted plant and it will give fruits the next year.

Looks just like a cute little baby carnivorous plant like the one that grew in the musical comedy “Little Shop of Horrors”
It started out just as “cute”
