In this lesson, you will learn what an arithmetic sequence is in math and how it compares to the geometric sequence. In an arithmetic sequence, each term of the sequence is related by a common difference. That is, the arithmetic sequence formula dictates that the next term in the sequence is calculated by adding a constant value to the previous term. In this way, if you one subtracts any two adjacent terms in the sequence, the same common difference will arise between terms. We will discuss how to solve problems that involve the arithmetic sequence.

The equation for the nth term of an arithmetic sequence has four variables i.e tn, t1, n and d. I think, we can solve for any of these variables given the other three.

In point of view, science is an abstract (hidden) form of an art. That is why, the art fascinates us more than science. Where there is an art, there should be a science.
